About This Role
Experience GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Applying facility management and maintenance principles to resolve technical issues, resulting in uninterrupted operations across multiple sites. Managing power generation and utility systems (including HVAC, evaporative cooling, emergency generators, plumbing, pipe grading, and electrical transformer loads), ensuring compliance with safety standards and reducing downtime by 20%. Developing scopes of work and cost estimates for complex building systems and construction projects, leading to accurate project budgeting and completion within established timelines. Ensuring facility operations met regulatory requirements by interpreting and implementing design standards, administrative manuals, and departmental policies, supporting successful procurement of equipment and services. Coordinating with cross-functional teams to modify plans, methods, and procedures, proactively preventing facility maintenance issues and optimizing maintenance practices based on building structural assessments.
